The Goal of MPF1 is to educate aspiring audio professionals and sound engineers with practical, real-world skills that can be applied immediately. This course focuses on the core elements of recording, mixing, and mastering music for commercial use – giving students a hands-on foundation that mirrors real studio environments.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • Proper equipment setup and session organiztion.
  • Optimizing levels and settings for different vocalists and styles.
  • Vocal stacking and layering to enhance the stereo field.
  • Vocal editing, alignment, and pitch correction techniques.
  • Levelling and pre master preparation.
  • Mastering music to meet commercial standards.
  • Radio and DSP submission guidelines.

This course is 95% hands-on and 5% theory. You’ll actively participate in the recording, mixing, and mastering process and your finished product can be included in your demo reel.

Plus, upon completion of the course, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for an intership with Abstract’s lead engineer, giving you real-life experience working with artists in a professional studio setting.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • All students must complete 24 hours of in class practical and theory learning.
